Pool Barrier Inspections Elwood
Elwood is an inner suburb in Melbourne best known for its beach - a popular bayside beach destination during summer. Summertime means more pool time. And the new regulations passed in Victoria makes it mandatory for swimming pool and spa owners in Elwood and nearby suburbs of Balaclava, Ripponlea and Elsternwick to undergo pool barrier inspections.
Effective 1 December 2019, all swimming pools and spas that can hold over 300 mm of water, including in-ground pools, indoor pools and spas, and above-ground pools and spas, need to install a safety barrier that complies with the regulations set by the local council. The new regulations aim to restrict young children aged five years and below from accessing the pool without adult supervision.
We conduct pool barrier inspections in Elwood and the surrounding neighbourhood of St Kilda, St Kilda East and Brighton. Once your pool fence passes the inspection, you need to lodge the compliance certificate to your local council within 30 days of the date of issue of the certificate to avoid paying penalties.
Pool barrier inspections can be tedious, especially if it’s your first time doing it. If you don’t know where to start or need help in making your pool fence compliant, you may schedule a pool or spa compliance consultation with us first. My Pool Inspector made the process quick and easy. Follow our step by step process and contact us if you need help.
