Pool Barrier Inspections Glen Iris

Glen Iris, the geographical centre of Melbourne along with Malvern, Burwood, Malvern East and other cities in Victoria, is now required to undergo pool barrier inspections. The new laws came into effect last 1 December 2019.

Under these new laws, property owners with swimming pools and spas that can hold over 300 mm of water, including inflatable and relocatable pools that require assembly, are obliged to have a pool fence that complies with the regulations set by the local council.

Only registered building surveyors/inspectors are allowed to conduct pool barrier inspections. If your pool fence passes the inspection, you will be issued a certificate of compliance that you need to lodge within 30 days of the date of issue. The next certificate needs to be lodged four years after the previous one.

Our fully licenced pool inspectors conduct inspections in Glen Iris and the surrounding suburb of Hawthorn East, Camberwell and Ashburton. We understand the hassle of pool barrier inspections, but it’s a small thing to perform to keep young children safe.

For questions on how to schedule your pool barrier inspections, simply give us a call or chat with us. My Pool Inspector made the process simple and hassle-free by working as efficiently as possible. Browse our step by step process and let us know if you need clarifications.
